Scottish Rowing is pleased to launch Project Rio. Project Rio is a series of resources and initiatives that have been developed to help clubs to cope with the additional demand that will be created in this Olympic year.
Details of the available resources and the three key elements are available in the Project Rio section under the Rio2016 menu on our website. We would encourage all clubs to make the most of this great opportunity to encourage new members and get more people rowing.

"For your information the demolition works at Polmadie Footbridge are at present programmed to be completed in April 2016. The temporary works, to ensure the bridge is removed safely, are programmed to finish in the next few weeks and the demolition works will follow.
The demolition sequence will start on the Southern span and will continue in order to the Northern spans. Access to the river users up/down river may be possible after the Southern river span has been demolished (expected around the beginning of March) but not before"

Para sport is high on the sporting agenda across the UK, and Scottish Rowing wants to be at the forefront of these exciting and inspirational developments.
Para rowing has the ability to change a person's life. It can be an aid to recovery, it can help in the management of illness and disabilities and it can give people a very important competitive outlet, and a new lease on life.
Scottish Rowing has already begun to build a base on which we can continue to grow para rowing, and now we need you.
We want to educate rowers, coaches, umpires, and volunteers on what it means to be a para rower and how to support them.
