Scottish Rowing is the Governing Body for rowing in Scotland. Our vision is a successful and thriving rowing community and our mission is to support and empower people in Scotland to enjoy rowing and achieve their potential.
Since 2022, Scottish Rowing has gone through an exciting period of significant change with the introduction of a new Olympic discipline, the expansion of the performance programme and a specific focus on extending the reach of the sport into non traditional rowing communities.
We are about to undertake our next strategic review – setting the direction for Scottish Rowing for 2026-29 and beyond - and are seeking a Director (Performance) to join the Scottish Rowing Board.

Since 2022, Scottish Rowing has gone through an exciting period of significant change with the introduction of a new Olympic discipline, the expansion of the performance programme and a specific focus on extending the reach of the sport into non traditional rowing communities. We will undoubtably see the Scotland Rowing Team grow even stronger as a result of these changes and we are now recruiting an Independent Performance Advisor to sit withing the Performance Advisory Group to guide the future generations of international athletes.
Responsible to: Performance Advisory Group (PAG) through Head of Performance

Firhill Youth Project and Community Sports (SCIO) is a charity which aims to positively impact lives in the North Glasgow community through the promotion of a range of accessible, affordable, and sustainable opportunities for local young people (and on occasion the wider community) to participate, coach, or volunteer in rowing, kayaking, canoeing, and other sport, and physical activity related opportunities at the Firhill Basin in North Glasgow.

We understand the necessity for young people to have meaningful opportunities to participate in sport and physical activity, and it is our mission to help break down the barriers that currently hinder their participation.
