Welcome to the Scottish Rowing resource page.
This Mental Health Resource Pack is created specifically for the Scottish Rowing community. As we navigate life's challenges, we often face obstacles that can affect our mental well-being. We recognise the importance of approaching mental health with the same commitment and resilience we bring to the sport, and we hope this pack offers resources to support you or someone you care about.

This resource pack is designed to help athletes and coaches understand how the menstrual cycle may impact training and performance. It offers guidance on managing symptoms and making the most of each training session.
For coaches and volunteers, this pack provides insights on how to support athletes by recognising the potential effects of menstrual symptoms on training and motivation.

RowSafe Scotland provides safety advice to rowers, clubs, competition organisers and everyone else associated with the sport of rowing in Scotland. It is based upon and incorporates the majority of the content of the RowSafe document produced by British Rowing with adaptations made to reflect the different structures of rowing in England and Scotland. The key principle is that wherever you row within the UK the expectations placed upon you should be as seamless as possible and future versions of RowSafe and RowSafe Scotland will remain aligned wherever practicable.
RowSafe Scotland provides general guidance on safe practice in rowing and related activities. It remains the responsibility of each club to maintain up-to-date risk assessments and define and monitor its own safety practices, guidance and procedures specific to its environment and activities.
