Scotland’s women awarded Dame Katherine Grainger Quaich after successfully defending Home International title

It all came down to the last two races but in a thrilling finale to the 2017 Home International Regatta, Scotland’s women successfully defended the title they won in Cardiff a year ago.

In winning the title by a single point at a sodden Strathclyde Park the Scotland Rowing Team’s women become the first recipients of the new Dame Katherine Grainger Quaich.

Scotland names its team for this weekend’s Home International Regatta

Scottish Rowing has announced its team to compete in the Home International Regatta (HIR), the prestigious one-day competition between four nations at Strathclyde Park, this Saturday (22nd July).

New Sprint Series aims to keep club rowers on the water through the summer

Scottish Rowing is organising a new Sprint Series of regattas during what is normally a quiet period for domestic competition - but should provide the best weather - in August and September.

Clydesdale ARC, Aberdeen BC and St Andrews Uni BC have all stepped forwards as event organisers for the Sprint Series which is being set up by Scottish Rowing in response to what clubs say is a need for events through the summer.

Eight athletes from Scotland named in GB team for under 23 Worlds

Eight Scots and members of Scottish university rowing programmes were amongst 56 athletes named in the Great Britain team today for next week’s World Rowing U23 Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria (19-23 July).

10 Scots named in GB squad for World Rowing Cup III

Ten Scots were named today in the 64-strong squad of athletes competing for Great Britain at World Rowing Cup III in Lucerne next weekend (7-9 July).

Double World Champ Horsburgh receives surprise call up for GB Senior team

Two-times rowing World Champion, Gavin Horsburgh, has received a surprise call up to compete for the GB Rowing Team for the first time at this weekend’s World Cup in the Polish city of Poznan (16-18 June).

Glasgow teenager Armstrong called up for the GB Senior team

Glasgow rower Josh Armstrong has made the huge step up from the Great Britain junior team last season straight into the British senior team competing in the second World Cup of the year in Poznan this month (16-18 June).

Scottish Rowing announces new clothing partnership with Powerhouse Sport

Scottish Rowing is delighted to announce a new, four-year partnership with Powerhouse Sport to supply technical clothing to the Scotland Rowing Team and the Scottish Rowing Performance Programme.
