We are delighted to announce the details for our Pride webinar, which will take place on 28th June at 7pm.
Chaired by Sam Winton, the webinar will look at the contribution LGBTQ+ people make to sport and sports clubs and consider what the future holds for LGBTQ+ inclusion. We would like to invite you to submit any questions or topics you might have in advance to help us make the webinar as relevant as we can. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions on the night.
Sam is a director of Scottish Rowing and is the Board EDI lead. He is a passionate, enthusiastic advocate for change. Recognised as a thought leader within equality, diversity and inclusion, he has championed the inclusion of under-represented groups within sport.
Hugh Torrance is co-president of the European Gay & Lesbian Sport federation and executive director of the Scottish LGBT charity: LEAP sports. Hugh is a leader amongst the sporting LGBTQ+ community helping to create safe spaces and visibility for athletes from across the globe as well as here in Scotland.
Deon Fang is co-head of the employee LGBTQ+ network at the UKs top LGBTQ+ employer Clifford Chance. Deon is a highly respected lawyer and activist championing diversity and inclusion. He is also an active member of the London Otters, the UKs only LGBTQ+ rowing club based in London.
