Scottish Rowing is pleased to announce four exciting opportunities to work within the Performance Pathway. Each of these voluntary roles will have the opportunity to steer and contribute to the performance of the top rowers in Scotland aspiring towards competing on the world stage and to shape the pathway that our aspiring athletes will journey through.

Board Director (Performance)

The first of the roles will sit on the Scottish Rowing Board, as the Non-Executive Director responsible for Performance. The successful applicant will share the responsibilities of other board members in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation, driving the aims and objectives of the organisation. The Director will also work in collaboration with the Performance Pathway team and will Chair Scottish Rowing’s new Performance Advisory Group.

Independent Performance Advisor (Performance Advisory Group)

The second role will sit on the Performance Advisory Group (PAG) as an Independent Performance Advisor. The aim of the PAG is to support and challenge the strategic direction of Scottish Rowing’s Performance Pathway operations with the aim of enabling more of Scotland’s rowers to compete successfully on the world stage. The Independent Performance Advisor will provide expertise and advice to the PAG from high performance sport outwith rowing as well as acting as an external selector for the Scotland Rowing Team.

Scotland Rowing Team (HIRR) – Team Manager & Assistant Team Manager

The final roles advertised are an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the performance of the Scotland Rowing Team as we look to recruit a Team Manager (TM) & Assistant Team Manager (ATM). The Scotland Rowing Team competes annually at the Home International Rowing Regatta against England, Ireland & Wales, with a team consisting of up to 32 senior athletes, 28 juniors and 14 coaches and support staff. The TM and ATM hold many responsibilities surrounding the selection processes, registration, wellbeing, logistics, finances and conduct of the Scotland Rowing Team. The TM and ATM will work in collaboration with the Head of Performance and Junior Co-Ordinator to fulfil their Scotland Rowing Team duties and further drive Scotland’s success at the Home International Regatta.
