From the Scottish Rowing Indoor Championships on the 21st November straight to the British Rowing Indoor Championships, many competitors took to their erg again on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December to compete virtually against indoor rowers around the world.
With a small Scottish contingent represented at the championships, there were medals won and personal bests broken over the course of the two-day event.
Stirling Rowing Club had a medal filled weekend with Gregor Hall winning a silver medal in the lightweight men’s 500m race, qualifying for the World Indoor Championships in February. Stirling RC also saw their Junior Mixed Team winning bronze in the last race of the day.
After her successful record-breaking day at SRIC, George Watsons College athlete Isla Wilding won the J16 Women’s 6 minute event with an impressive 1645 meters covered in that time.
