42 sports, 16 days, over 3000 hours of live BBC Olympic TV coverage begins this Friday (5 August ) with the Opening Ceremony, continuing every day until Sunday 21 August.
The BBC will be showing comprehensive live coverage, although the four hour time difference means the schedule will be different compared with London 2012.
