The GB Junior Trials took place in Boston, Lincs on February 22nd. Although scheduled to take place over the full weekend, Sundays racing had been cancelled in advance due to the horrendous winds that were due to hit.

Josh Armstrong from Glasgow Academy took part in the J16 1x 5km trial and dominated the field of forty J16 scullers to win the race by 37 seconds. In the Womens event Laura McDonald (George Watsons College) had a very good row over the 2k and came third in the J16 1x, and was twelfth overall. These results are incredibly impressive and will go a long way towards their aspirations to be selected for the GB France Match to be held in Nantes in July this year.
