Scottish Rowing is delighted to announce the appointment of Gillian Stewart as the Programme Manager at the Scottish Rowing Centre. In this new role, Gillian will be responsible for growing and managing activity at the Rowing Centre and developing new partnerships.
Gillian started rowing at Heriot Watt University BC as a beginner and went on to trial for the U23 GB Rowing Team, competing at Henley Womens Regatta and at the Womens Head of the River Race.
Gillian has worked extensively in the fitness and leisure industry and is a highly experienced personal trainer. She previously worked in a range of roles within Aberdeenshire Council sport and leisure and more recently managed a boutique fitness studio in Glasgow.
Gillian said “I am excited to be taking on this new role. The Scottish Rowing Centre has so much potential and I look forward to working with clubs and partners to realise the vision of a thriving home for Scottish Rowing. ”
Amanda Cobb, Chief Operating Officer said, “It’s great to welcome Gillian to the team. The Rowing Centre is a fantastic asset for Scottish Rowing and we have exciting plans for the future.”
