On January 28th the Western Eights Head of the Clyde will kick off the 2017 racing season, and Glasgow University Boat Club are keen that this year will see the event regain its former strength after continuous cancellations due to the demolition of Polmadie Bridge.
Racing will be held on the Clyde’s 5 km course, from the Belvidere straight to the viewing platform on the Glasgow University BC – Strathclyde University BC straight at Glasgow Green. Two divisions will be held, at 11am and 1:30pm.
