Job Title: Firhill Youth Project and Community Sports Hub (SCIO) - Lead Activity Coach
Contract: 20 hours per week, fixed term until end March 2023 with the intention to extend subject to funding.

About Firhill Youth Project and Community Sports Hub (SCIO)
Firhill Youth Project and Community Sports (SCIO) is a charity which aims to positively impact lives in the North Glasgow community through the promotion of a range of accessible, affordable, and sustainable opportunities for local young people (and on occasion the wider community) to participate, coach, or volunteer in rowing, kayaking, canoeing, and other sport, and physical activity related opportunities at the Firhill Basin in North Glasgow.
Firhill Youth Project and Community Sports Hub (SCIO) works in partnership with Scottish Rowing, the governing body for the sport of Rowing in Scotland, and Glasgow Life (Glasgow Sport), the local public authority for sport in the Glasgow City Council area. Firhill Youth Project and Community Sports Hub (SCIO) also works in direct partnership with Partick Thistle Football Club and Glasgow Kayak Club, the hubs key partner clubs.
About the postholder
In this exciting role, the successful post holder will have operational responsibility for the delivery of water sports activities and other sporting and lifestyle activities in the Firhill Basin. The post will include working with children and young people from various communities in North Glasgow and managing the group of volunteer coaches that support the charity in its activities.
We are seeking a dedicated, driven, and motivated individual who will inspire local young people from the North of Glasgow to take part and sustain their participation in rowing and other water sports. Our candidate will share the view that sport has the power to change lives.
Job Description
The Lead Activity Coach will report to the Firhill Youth Project and Community Sports Hub (SCIO) Board of Trustees and will be responsible for leading the delivery of activity for the charity. The successful candidate will be required to maintain positive working relationships with:
