Scottish Rowing is delighted to welcome Helen Lawrance as our new Competitions and Events Manager.
Helen has an extensive background in competition and events in sport, having previously worked for British Triathlon in their events team and more recently at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. We are delighted to bring her knowledge and experience into the Scottish Rowing community. She will be leading on the rollout of Scottish Rowing's Playwaze entry system to all events, identifying and delivering opportunities for new competition and events for all our members, and the delivery of the Scottish Rowing Schools Indoor League and Championships.
Talking about her new role, Helen said "I am really excited to join Scottish Rowing in the role of Competition and Events Manager. I am looking forward to getting out and meeting the clubs and communities in such a great sport."
Andy Barton, Scottish Rowing Pathways Manager said ”I am thrilled to be working with Helen in the Pathways Team at Scottish Rowing. Helen has a great reputation and background in delivering and improving competition and events in other sports and I'm really excited to see how she can contribute towards the development of our current events and the introduction of new competition and events across Scottish Rowing.”
Helen is now working full-time and available to be contacted at helen.lawrance@scottish-rowing.org.uk
