Regional Development Managers
Scottish Rowing offers member clubs direct support through the employment of three Regional Development Managers (RDM). Relaunched in 2018, the Regional Development Managers have both regional and national responsibilities in line with the Scottish Rowing 2017-21 Strategic Plan.

Andy Barton - Regional Development Manager West/Workforce Development Manager
Andy Barton has regional responsibility for the West Region. Clubs in the West Region are;
Castle Semple Rowing Club, Clyde Amateur Rowing Club, Clydesdale Amateur Rowing Club, Glasgow Rowing Club, Glasgow Schools Rowing Club, Glasgow University Boat Club, Loch Lomond Rowing Club, Nithsdale Amateur Rowing Club, Strathclyde Park Rowing Club, Strathclyde University Boat Club, The Glasgow Academy Rowing Club.
Alongside his regional role, Andy has a national remit as Workforce Development Manager to identify opportunities to help the coaching, umpiring and volunteering workforce within Scottish Rowing grow and develop.
Adam Hardy – Regional Development Manager East/Competition and Events Manager
Adam Hardy has regional responsibility for the East Region. Clubs in the East Region are;
Edinburgh University Boat Club, George Heriot’s School Rowing Club, George Watson’s College Rowing Club, Heart of Scotland Boat Club, Heriot Watt University Boat Club, St Andrew Boat Club, Stirling Rowing Club, Stirling University Boat Club, University of St Andrews Boat Club.
Alongside his regional role, Adam has a national remit as Competition and Events Manager; developing Scottish Rowing's competition strategy and leading events delivered by the Scottish Rowing staff.
Erin Wyness – Regional Development Manager North/Club Support Manager
Erin Wyness has regional responsibility for the North Region. Clubs in the North Region are;
Aberdeen Boat Club, Aberdeen Schools Rowing Association, Aberdeen University Boat Club, Albyn School Rowing Club, Deeside Scullers Rowing Club, Dundee University Boat Club, Inverness Rowing Club, Robert Gordon University Boat Club, Tay Rowing Club.
Alongside her regional role, Erin has a national remit as Club Support Manager, to promote sustainable and well-run clubs and help clubs achieve their goals. Erin has national responsibility for implementing the recently launched Club Support Toolkit, developed by Andy Barton.
The three RDM posts are made possible through sportscotland investment, with the objectives of growing participation and widening access to rowing in Scotland.
