Rowing takes up most of my time so I don't have much else in the way of hobbies anymore. I like watching Netflix and taking naps post training.
I’m taking each year as it comes, but I’m aiming for the World University Championships in 2016. Beyond that, I’m aiming to go to Senior World Championships, Commonwealths and maybe the Olympics one day! I also want to continue to improve my 2k erg score – I hope to go sub 7 minutes eventually.
Greatest Rowing Moment
Winning gold at my first Home International Regatta for Scotland in the 4+ and 8+ was a really great moment as it was my first taste of some international competition and success. I love representing Scotland, and went on to win 2 gold’s again the following year in the lightweight women’s 1x and the 8+.
Winning GB long distance trials in 2016 was another great moment. And becoming World Indoor Rowing Champion in the Open Lightweight Women’s category at the CRASH-Bs in Boston was amazing. After being injured the previous year, I loved taking part in BUCS Regatta and winning 3 gold medals.
At Henley Women’s Regatta in 2016 I won the Elite Lightweight Single, and this is definitely one of my proudest rowing moments.
