The annual Scottish Rowing Awards are in celebration of the achievements and contributions that our members and clubs make to our sport. While 2019-20 has not been a “normal” rowing season, there have undoubtably still been Scottish Rowing members, coaches and clubs who have had a significant impact on our sport which we are keen to celebrate. To reflect this our awards will be structured slightly differently this year, focussing on the impact that volunteers, coaches, and clubs have had to keep our sport going over the past challenging and changing year. A new award will be also introduced to recognise initiatives which have positively impacted an individual, group, club, community and/or the sport in Scotland.
In addition, Scottish Rowing would like to highlight the role that Scottish Rowing members have in their local community by introducing a new accolade, Scottish Rowing Community Champions. Finally, to reflect the absence of on water racing in the last season, Scottish Rowing will celebrate the last decade of achievement of junior rowers, senior rowers, crews, and coaches with a 10-Year Celebration of Performance.
We are looking for nominations in the following categories:
1. Club of the Year
2. Senior Volunteer of the Year
3. Junior Volunteer of the Year
4. Volunteer Team of the Year
5. Coach of the Year
6. Initiative of the Year
7. Scottish Rowing Community Champions
Nominations will close at midnight on 10th January 2021.
