Would you be ready, willing and able to volunteer at the Home International Regatta at Strathclyde Park on the 22nd July?
The Home International Regatta (HIR) is an annual challenge match between Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales and will be hosted by England at Strathclyde Country Park, Motherwell on 22nd July, 2017.
Racing at HIR is on the 2km course and starts approx. 10.30 am through to 4.30 pm. There will be four crews / boats in each race and there will be approx. 36 races throughout the day - one every 8 or 10 mins.
We are looking for volunteers to help with roles such as marshalling, results distribution, supporting medal ceremonies, handing out boat numbers etc. - if you are interested in being part of our team, please contact us care of the Scottish Rowing administrator, Carol Ann Ellis at email@example.com by 20 June 2017.
Food / drinks will be provided on the day for all volunteers and please note that the HIR this year is being used as a test event for the European Rowing Championships being held at Strathclyde Park in Aug. 2018 and as well as volunteering at the HIR you will have until the 31st July 2017 to register to volunteer at Glasgow 2018 and the European Rowing Championships between 2-5 August 2018.
